Willow doesn't look like the prototype shown! Mar 29, 2005

Sideshow really messed up with this one! The original prototype looked really cute but the actual figure's face looks all wrong. Everyone who has gotten her thinks her face looks slightly deformed, a bit higher on one side and a crooked mouth. The face is extremely pale and they gave her very light blue eyes. Sideshow has since updated the picture on their official website to now show what the figure really looks like but this was after many people had returned or cancelled their orders. I'm a member of several Buffy based boards and everyone who has seen her or seen the pictures of her have said the same things. A lot of those who hadn't yet received the figure have cancelled it.
Now, after saying all that, she has grown on me. She looks like a thinner faced, older Willow but with a lopsided face. The outfit and accessories are excellent though and really do match the outfit from the episode.
I buy the Sideshow line of figures to display. I don't play with them but I do pose them but as they are so expensive I don't think I'd buy them for a younger child who may break them.
And because I'm a serious collector of this line I'm happy I got the Willow figure I just wish her face wasn't messed up.
