This is the first time I've used remanufactured ink cartridges from HP and I am very happy with that decision. Old cartridges are recycled and refilled with ink at an HP factory, then resold at *half* the price of a new ink cartridge. The value is excellent, plus this process reduces the amount of plastic that goes into our landfills.
The cartridge was easy to install, came in a branded HP box and has worked just fine for the two weeks I've been using it. Overall a great deal.

You certainly won't get the page yield from this cartridge as you would a genuine HP. This thing probably has about half the amount of toner compared to an HP.

The remanufactured cartridge we ordered, thru amazon's marketplace, came from Vivamart. I mention this, as not all marketplace sellers may be selling the same quality product. While I've only used it for a couple weeks (roughly 15 to 20 pages), so far I've been very impressed. The $30 price is so much more affordable than original HP cartridges it's absurd they charge so much. It's even a great deal compared to most remanufactured specialty sites I've run across.
From my experience, there's usually a tradeoff in quality with laserjet remanufactured cartridges. The ones I've purchased before didn't print out as rich, nor did they last as long as my original HP cartridge, despite costing about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of an HP cartridge.
The black cartridge I received from Vivamart, only cost about 1/3 the price of a new HP cartridge. It's too early to judge longevity, but if the richness of the the print is any indication, I expect it'll hold out as long as a new HP.
My blacks are deep again, and rich enough to print graphics in addition to print. I only hope Vivamarts price is the same and their manufacturing consistent, the next time I need a new cartridge.

I bought this toner cartridge in hopes I might save a few bucks over the HP replacement cartridge. Sadly the gamble was a bust. The toner cartridge arrived on time (thank you Amazon) and the toner box was in pristine condition. I opened the box, removed the formed bubble wrap from the toner, shook the toner as directed by the instructions, removed the protective clear film engaging the cartridge, and installed it in my printer. After the printer completed the calibration process, I printed about 10 test pages. No black was printed. Zilch, nadda. I removed the cartridge, examined it, shook it, re-installed it, and had the same results. The cartridge goes back to Amazon tomorrow and I plan to order an HP toner cartridge tonight.

Got the black toner from speedy ink... Black toner everywhere! Now I have to clean the entire printer. After many self cleaning it just pours black toner all over every sheet. Junk.
