This is a really nice quality costume. My four year old will have it for a long time. It was pretty big for him (who's in the 90th percentile for height), so the foam that creates the muscle chest was choking him and getting in his face. So I altered it at the waist which pulled it down enough to fit correctly at the neck (also altered the arms and legs). It's a really great costume for a bigger kid, but I'd much rather have it run too big than too small because then at least you can fix it. The mask fit perfectly and he LOVES the belt.

This costume was a thrill for my son to open but we immediately knew it wasn't for him. The muscles on the chest stuck out so he couldn't see the ground; when he bent down, the muscles covered his face and he could hardly breathe! He spent the whole night "holding" down his chest. Then, we noticed a hole in the leg - the material is very thin and doesn't seem durable. Too bad, it had to go back.

I purchased this costume for my 4 year old and he loved the costume, I was pleased with the item. My only issue was the cape was really short and the muscles would cave in after a while and I would have to "pop" them back out. Costumes never really fit perfectly, this was a little long but my son is short for his age. I would recommend this costume if you have a Batman fan in your house.

Sizing wrong - Great Costume tho Oct 27, 2011

When I bought this the other day, the reviews were mixed in with other sizes. Be aware this is specifically for the toddler size 2-4. I read this costumes ran big. Got this size for my big for his age 4 year old. It's still a tad big, but no problems. Will be good for another year of play. Amazed at the durability of it (for a costume anyway). Two things, on this size the cape only comes down to their bum, and the boot "tops" only come 1/2 way up their shin, rather than to their knees. The belt is also sewn in to the side seams, not a tie on like in some other varieties. The head piece is not rigid plastic, so no worries about breaking. It's nice too, and super easy for the kids to put on. Highly recommend.

The costume is cheaply made and looked cheap too. The back is hold up together with 2 pairs of small velcro. Before my son even put on the costume, the hook velcro caught on the nylon fabric and pulled out a long thread. The cape is much smaller than pictured, so small you cannot even see it looking face on. The belt is put on by tying the fabric in a knot. Looks awful in the back.
