A MUST HAVE for model kit enthusiasts! Jan 23, 2006
I have had a subscription to Amazing Figure Modeler (AFM) for about three years now, and I highly recommend this magazine to anyone who is interested in figure kit building. Every issue is packed with great articles, photos, new kit reviews, painting and building tips from some of the top guys in the field, and even customizing and diorama workshops. AFM also includes many resources for the purchase of model kits and modeling supplies. The articles are well written and fun to read. The photos are clear and of high-quality. And the information is priceless. My modeling skills have greatly increased since I have started reading AFM. Amazing Figure Modeler deals mainly with the review and construction of resin figure kits. However, they occasionally throw in a vinyl or styrene kit, or even a vehicle or two. AFM may also contain photos of nude (but tasteful) female kits, so this may be inappropriate for the younger modelers. You can use your own discretion there. If you are already a modeler, or planning on starting the hobby, this is the modeling magazine to buy. I guarantee you will be anxiously awaiting each new issue. With only four issues a year, the wait may seem a bit long at times, but it's well worth it.
