5Excellent Heisei depiction  Jul 22, 2008
From the gleaming gold eyes to the catlike face and serpentine, cobra-like neck, this finely crafted vinyl figure captures the essence of the Heisei Godzilla ("Heisei" denotes the era between 1985 to 1995 in Godzilla-speak), and in particular the more dragon-like appearance of the 1991 film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.

Six inches is probably the ideal height for a Godzilla figure, and this should make it relatively easy to pair him with taller foes (a general rule of thumb: Godzilla's opponents are a few meters taller than him). I think Bandai made a couple Mechagodzillas, Space Godzillas, and Detoroyahs in the 7" - 8" range. Still searching for a good King Ghidorah, though...

5This is the 1991 GvKG Godzilla  Feb 18, 2008
Although the listing for this product just said, "Godzilla Action Figure," I was pretty sure from the photo--and the "gold eyes" in the product description--that was the 1991 GvKing Ghidorah version of Godzilla. That did turn out to be the case, as was confirmed by the copyright date on the tag. Although all of the 1990s Godzilla figures are pretty similar, this is my favorite (other than the 1995 Burning G). The seller from whom I bought this (ABCTOY4ME) has reasonable prices and provides great service. They could attract even more collectors if they would make a point of trying to tell which Godzilla they are selling. Even if there's no other info in English on the tag, the version can often be inferred from the copyright date.

5AWSOME!  Mar 22, 2007
I wasn't expecting to get this so fast. I bought it for a birthday present and now I have a bunch of toys sitting in my apartment tempting me to play with them. That's a good thing though.
